Based in the heart of West Sussex and surrounded by the South Downs and open countryside, our set up is ideal for dogs who love adventures and the company of their own kind.

At Ruddleberry Retreats our ethos is to provide a true and loving home-from-home to our doggy visitors in a family setting. Our spacious home gives our guests a restful and calm environment, with space to play and a secure outside space.

Ruddleberry Retreats is run by Suzi Price in Partridge Green, near Horsham.

With a career in caring for dogs since leaving college in 2004, ranging from 10 years helping to run a boarding kennels, caring for a wonderful range of breeds from assorted backgrounds, conditions and ages. I started running my own busy and thriving dog walking business for many years. Since starting a family, my business is now focused on caring for dogs at home through boarding and day care.

I have always been extremely passionate about animals. I felt it was always going to be my career path, but my passion for dogs started with the arrival of my first family dog, Bentley, a flat-coated retriever. Bentley taught me confidence and gave unconditional love beyond compare. His legacy continues today with my breeding kennel of award winning flat-coated retrievers who I train, work and compete with, but primarily demonstrate exceptional temperaments, and are healthy and biddable. Our dogs are part of the family and are ready to welcome doggy guests.

Ruddleberry Retreats is a certified 5* licenced boarding establishment for no more than 3 dogs at a time, granted and inspected by Horsham District Council. Our guests are covered under our fully comprehensive insurance provided by PetPlan Sanctuary. I am also a certified canine first aider.

Experience of administering medication for various conditions including diabetes, arthritis, cardiology, pain relief, stroke, incontinence and treating skin conditions or other external complaints.
We accept unneutered dogs.
Whilst we promote vaccination and all our dogs are kept up-to-date with theirs, we support the decision of some who feel it's not an option for them to vaccinate. We do require a signed disclaimer to this affect.
We recognise dogs relax and are most comfortable in a stable and balanced environment, so we provide ample opportunity for exercise in a natural social way.
Our insurance provides comprehensive cover and piece of mind when needs must.
We and our establishment have been fully and personally inspected to a high standard by an official authority. There are many elements we have to meet in accordance with DEFRA and the RSPCA to achieve such a high standard. This allows us to form a professional level of trust between ourselves and our guest's owners.
